RECEIVE oral report on the Major Project Status by the Chief Program Management Officer.

DISCUSSION
A. Update report covering the month of February 2018 by the Chief Program Management Officer; and
B. At the January 2018 Board meeting, staff summarized the positive program results and impacts of the one-year pilot program, which the Board approved in January 2017, authorizing the CEO to negotiate and execute project-related agreements, including contract modification(s) up to the authorized Life of Project budget, to streamline project management of the four (4) major transit corridor projects (Crenshaw/LAX, Regional Connector, Westside Purple Line Extension Section 1 and 2 projects).
Also at the January 2018 meeting, the Board approved continuation and expansion of the authority delegation for LOP budget management on all transit and regional rail capital projects program-wide. Staff was further directed to provide quarterly reports and include details on change orders and modifications. The first quarterly of this detailed changes and modifications report to the Board will be issued by April 2018. In the interim, staff will continue reporting on project cost contingency and contract change activity, as shown in Attachment A.
