RECEIVE oral report on State Legislation Senate Bill 268.

DISCUSSION
On May 24, 2017, the Metro Board of Directors adopted an OPPOSE position on SB 268 (Mendoza) as amended. Staff is continuing to advocate in opposition to the measure. Senate Bill 268 (Mendoza) has been referred to the Assembly Committee on Local Government and the Assembly Committee on Transportation. The bill will be scheduled for a hearing in the first policy committee in the coming weeks.
Staff will continue to keep the Board apprised as the measure moves through the legislative session.
